LGA POLL: Oborevwori again,demonstrates capacity

 


A People's Democratic party PDP chieftain in Delta state, chief Onome Benson has lauded Governor Sheriff Oborevwori  over the recent local government elections,held in all 25 council areas in the state.

Chief Onome in a chat with News men in Asaba, the state capital,said the peaceful conduct of the local government elections, demonstrates his capacity.

He equally hailed the increased opportunities provided for women to actively participate in local government administration.

Recall that Hon. Joy Ejumudo from the Okere-Urhobo axis of Warri South Local Government Area on Wednesday,July 18th,2024,emerged the first female Leader of Warri South Council Legislative Arm.

Chief Onome said " the governor has again demonstrated capacity through the peaceful organizing of the local government elections".The PDP chieftain added  " the emergence Hon. Joy Ejumudo in  Warri South Local Government Area,as the first female Leader of Warri South Council Legislative Arm is as a result of governor Oborevwori's commitment towards encouraging more women in politics at the graceroot".
